Three-Dimensional Numerical Modeling of Artificially Freezing Ground in Metro Station Construction

In this study, the engineering background of No. 2 complex connecting passage Binhu Road Station/Jinhu Square Station Nanning Metro Line 3 is investigated, where artificial ground freezing technique adopted. A three-dimensional finite element model established to investigate temperature development frozen soil curtain, with a simulation dynamic evolution frosted curtain. The validated by comparing overall trend measured value and resulting value, which are roughly same. According design scheme, weakest part whole curtain top bell mouth downhole tunnel intersects passage. It recommended make row smaller holes enhance effect in area. thickness reached 1.75 m or more, indicating that meets requirements shows right features for excavation construction. After 40 days, average 2.4 m, requirements. project can be successfully carried out, suggests underneath construction feasible. As result, results numerical applicable comparable projects using artificially metro station
